After three long years, we are so excited to premiere the BUSK! documentary. Runtime is 42 minutes, and there will be a post-show Q&A session with the director (April Denée) and two veteran buskers (Chris Hannibal, James Lee Walker II). Please spread the word!

Buskapalooza was so much fun, we’ve decided to hold another one! This time, the festival is in conjunction with World Busk 2011, a worldwide busking event that drew 483 buskers in 17 countries last year!

(en)Counter-Culture Event @ the Lightrail

When: Sat, Nov 20, 2010 @ 8pm
Where: Lightrail Station @ Epicentre/Arena
Cost: none (social experiment)

Event Description
Busking for tips is currently prohibited at all of Charlotte’s transportation platforms, so six artists have been organized to perform on the inbound side of the busiest lightrail platform in Uptown – the central terminal at the Epicentre and Time Warner Cable Arena – as a peaceful demonstration of how street art and performance could enhance the social atmosphere of a transportation center. All current rules and regulations will be strictly observed during this event. Featured artists will include:
